Ponca NMA Qualifier
Austin Del Valle Race track
Sun | May 23, 2010
The Del Valle Round of The Ponca National Championships qualifiers was an excellent showing for H.P. equipped riders!
In the 85 classes both Grant Crawford and Jimmy Taylor ran hard and both won the day's iron man award as each ran 4 classes for a total of 8 moto's! Jimmy grabbed a couple holeshots as well as moto wins over stiff competition from Reed Coch, Alexis Garza, and Stuart Harmon.
Grant had a tough day out of the gate, but managed to hit the first turn mid pack each race. With smart track management after a couple turns each race he found himself battling for top fives, and all said he did not have one overal result worse than fifth!
In the woman's class, Eleanna Poulis represented us well with great rides and a never say die attitude! One moto she stuck extremely close to Stuart Harmon for a couple laps, which impressed the heck out of us!
Taylor Stasny has recently made the switch to Kawasaki's, and had his first ride and race on the bike this weekend. He had some good motos but needs to work on some starts!
An H.P. equipped rider Tyler Juarez absolutely dominated his motos taking home every overall.
In the vet A classes, David Brewer put on some dominating performances taking home four perfect moto finishes. David ripped a couple holeshots to go along with his great finishes, and we have to say hats off to him for riding great!
The track was great all day, and the racing equally great. Thanks to all the riders!
